Design & Showroom Manager

Alice has been part of the furniture at Herbert William since joining the team in 2019. With 12 years industry experience and a degree in Kitchen Design under her belt, Alice now manages the Herbert William Showroom and Team. Having worked on many exciting projects for us over the years, Alice has proven to be a great asset with her enthusiasm, passion & innovative design ideas.

Katie

Accounts manager

Katie has been with Herbert William since day one. As Accounts manager, she deals with supplier & sales invoices and keeps a very keen eye on the books, the showroom, the warehouse and Sarah. In a very quiet way she knows exactly what’s going on at all times and helps run a tight ship.

Matt

Installations Manager

Many of you will have already met Matt, who has been installing our kitchens for over 7 years - he is now our Herbert William Installations Manager, heading up the project management side of the business for our turnkey experience.

Russell

Bedroom Specialist

We welcomed Russell, our bedroom specialist to the team in 2025 after working alongside him many years ago. With 18 years experience in designing and installing bedrooms, we are excited to have him on board to enhance our bedroom offering.

Alex

Kitchen Designer

Alex joined the Herbert William team at the start of 2024. She has a degree in Product and Furniture Design and started her career in manufacturing - building cabinets and programming CNC machines for a bespoke kitchen company in London. Alex is an extensive traveller having grown up in Hong Kong and Singapore and since graduating she spent a year in Australia.

Lee

Director

Lee joined the Herbert William team in 2011 after working in the building industry since 1990. Originally, Lee was installing our kitchens but as Herbert William has grown, his role has changed and he now manages our larger building projects, installations and scheduling.

Paul

Installer

Paul is an integral part of the Herbert William Team and has made so many of our designs, a reality over the years. He genuinely cares and treats every project as if it's his own. We are so lucky to have him as part of the team.

Nick

Bespoke Joiner

Nick is our specialist bespoke joiner, bringing exceptional craftsmanship to every project. Alongside kitchen installation, he also handcrafts stunning bespoke kitchens, bedrooms and custom furniture. His skill allows us to take on truly tailored projects, creating unique pieces built to fit both the space and the client's vision.

Neve

Kitchen Designer

Neve joined the Herbert William team in 2024 and completed an apprenticeship in Fitted Furniture Design, which she passed with distinction! As Lee's daughter, she has grown up around the industry, and has a natural eye for colour, style and trends. Neve enjoys working closely with clients to achieve a space that is not just functional but beautiful and loves the process of seeing a project from initial concept through to completion/handover.

Sarah

Director

Sarah founded Herbert William in 2007 following 15 years in retail, specifically in customer service and 10 of those as a Kitchen designer for a small local independent Kitchen showroom. Aged 30 she took an adventurous back packing year out of her career, it was during this year she aspired to start her very own Kitchen Design business on her return to the UK. She named the company after her two late Grandads, Herbert and William

Ryan

Installer

Ryan has been with Herbert William since he was an apprentice! After taking a short break to travel the world (working as a joiner on Super Yachts!), we're lucky he is now back with us installing your beautiful kitchens.

Our Story

Our company is quite simple really, it comprises of a small team of passionate, creative and hard-working individuals. Founded in 2007 by one of those individuals, the team has increased to four, all with significant roles in a tightly run ship. We celebrated 15 years of trading in 2022 and over 500 beautiful Kitchens scattered in and around the New Forest.

The name Herbert William was derived from Sarah McCrossan (founder and designer) and Katie Luker’s (account and logistics manager) late grandads, Herbert Slater and William McCrossan. The success is something today Sarah and her sister Katie insist they would be proud of. Sarah McCrossan and Alice Murphy head up design consulting.
