This Shaker kitchen in Sway was designed for a new-build home, creating a relaxed yet refined space suited to both everyday use and weekend living. As a holiday home, the focus was on combining practicality with a welcoming, timeless feel.

The cabinetry is from the Mackintosh Sovereign range, finished in Limestone and Jade. Limestone is used on the wall units to keep the space light and airy, while the island in Jade introduces a deeper tone that anchors the room and adds contrast. The classic Shaker styling ties the scheme together with a sense of understated character.

Worktops are in 30mm Calacatta Gold, bringing a bright surface with subtle veining that complements both cabinetry tones. The thicker profile adds presence while remaining practical for regular use. Meanwhile, appliances include a Falcon Rangemaster cooker, supported by NEFF integrated appliances and an Elica extractor, ensuring the kitchen performs as well as it looks.

The layout also incorporates a dedicated bar and pantry area, providing additional storage while keeping everyday items neatly organised. A separate utility room was designed alongside the kitchen, maintaining a consistent look and enhancing the home's overall functionality.

A key consideration for this project was tailoring the space to the clients’ needs, including increasing the worktop height through taller plinths for improved comfort.
